My 2005 Civic's dented door was cheaper to fix than I thought
I had a nasty dent on my driver's door from a parking lot hit and run. The estimate from a body shop was $900, which is more than the car is worth. Instead of junking it, I tried one of those paintless dent repair guys by my work in Denver. He charged me $150 and fixed it in about 45 minutes. The difference before and after is night and day, you can't even tell it was ever there. Has anyone else had luck with paintless dent repair on an older car that's not worth much?

Proves most things aren't as expensive to fix as people assume.

Makes sense but you're ignoring labor costs.

Oh totally agree with "most things aren't as expensive to fix as people assume." I had this old Kenmore dryer that stopped heating and everyone told me to just buy a new one. I watched a YouTube video, spent like 12 bucks on a thermal fuse on Amazon, and it's been running fine for three years now. Same thing with my car's check engine light - took it to a shop and they wanted 800 bucks for a new sensor. Found the part online for 40 dollars and swapped it out in my driveway (my dad is a patient man, lol). People just get scared and give up way too fast.
