Just flipped on fixing a dented bumper after talking to my uncle in Detroit
For years I was all about junking any car with a dented bumper, figured it wasn't worth the hassle. Then my uncle, who runs a body shop on 8 Mile, showed me a 2012 Civic he fixed with a $60 paintless dent repair kit from Amazon and two hours of his Saturday. The thing looked like new, and he only charged the guy $200. Now I'm wondering if I should start checking what's actually fixable before writing off a whole car. Anyone else had a cheap fix that totally changed their mind on what's trash?

Yo I read a thread last week where some guy pulled a golf ball sized dent out of his Fiesta with a hair dryer and compressed air. Like literally just heated it up and sprayed it with the duster can upside down and it popped back out on its own. Saved him like $500 at a shop. I think we're all just too quick to write stuff off these days when half the time it's way simpler than we think.
