Guy tried to sell me a car with a raccoon living in the trunk
Met this dude off Craigslist in Tacoma last month, he was dead serious that the raccoon added value because it 'kept the spare tire warm.' I popped the trunk, the thing hissed at me, and he still asked $1,200 over blue book. Has anyone else walked away from a deal because the seller's reasoning got too weird?

...and that's the thing, once you start hearing the justification for the price, you realize the car is just the excuse. It's like that everywhere now, not just Craigslist. People get so attached to their own weird reasoning that they forget the actual object doesn't change just because they really want it to be worth more. I've seen it with houses, with old furniture, even with a guy trying to sell a slightly broken lawnmower because it "has a story." The story is never worth the extra cash, and the raccoon thing is just the most honest version of that. Everyone's out here trying to sell you their fantasy, and you're just trying to buy a damn car.
