Found a way to get 40k more miles out of a car with a blown head gasket

So I got this 2004 Honda Accord from my cousin for $300. It had a blown head gasket and was smoking like crazy. Everyone told me to junk it, but I tried this stuff called K-Seal that I saw online. You just pour it in the radiator and it clogged the leak somehow. I've been driving it for 6 months now and put about 40,000 more miles on it. The only catch is you have to change the oil every 1,500 miles or it turns to sludge. Has anyone else tried one of those sealer products on a modern car or did I get lucky?

It does what it says on the bottle, sure. But I wouldn't trust it as a permanent fix, just a bandaid to get you to the shop. That stuff can clog up other things if you're not careful.
