Why is no one talking about getting 'The Lost Room' back for a second season?

I rewatched the 2006 miniseries last week and the hotel key plot still holds up better than most shows today. Does anyone else think a 6 episode follow-up on Amazon would finally give us the ending we deserve?

Look, I get the nostalgia hit, but are we really acting like "The Lost Room" was some lost masterpiece? It was a fun SyFy channel weekend distraction, not a cultural event. The key plot was cool, sure, but the ending, if you remember it, was basically a cop out that wrapped up the mystery by blowing it up. A season two now would just be 12 years of fan theories trying to squeeze blood out of a stone. Amazon would probably turn it into a grim, slow-burn prestige thing that misses the whole point of the weird, pulpy fun. I'll pass on the disappointment, thanks.
