Used to think 'Dark Matter' was overrated, but rewatching it changed my mind completely

I blew through Dark Matter when it first aired on Syfy back in 2015 and thought it was just okay. After the 2017 cancellation I didn't really care. But last month I gave it another shot during a rainy weekend and something clicked. The character development across 3 seasons is way stronger than I remembered, especially Android's arc from episode 1 to the finale. Compared to Killjoys which ran the same time, Dark Matter had tighter plotting and fewer filler episodes. Anyone else have a show that hit different on a second watch?
