Unpopular opinion: I gave up on The Expanse after season 3 and just now figured out why everyone was so mad it got canceled
Two weeks ago my brother handed me his Blu-rays and said to just push through to season 4, and after four episodes of the Amazon run I finally got it, that show was doing something no other sci-fi series was doing on TV. Now I'm mad about the cancellation for a completely different reason than everyone else, because it feels like we got two shows and only one of them got a real ending. What's the show you gave up on too early that you had to eat crow about later?

The "two shows and only one got a real ending" thing is spot on and honestly the best way to watch it is just to treat season 3 as a series finale and then enjoy the Amazon stuff as a bonus. Gave up on Breaking Bad after season 2 back in the day because I thought it was too slow, came back two years later and watched the whole thing in like a week. Sometimes you just weren't ready for it yet, nothing wrong with that.
