The 2020 live-action movie killed any chance of a real revival

Every time someone brings up reviving this show, they forget the movie did zero favors for the fanbase. I tried a rewatch last month and kept thinking about how the bad pacing in that film made people forget what made the series great. Anyone else think we need a soft reboot that just pretends the movie never happened?

Did you catch that interview where one of the original writers basically said the movie was a rushed mess because they cut half the script? I read that a few months back and it made total sense. The pacing was all over the place, like they were trying to fit three seasons of story into two hours. The fanbase is still stuck on that sour taste, and it just makes everything else feel pointless. A soft reboot that pretends it never happened might be the only way to get people excited again. But honestly, even then, you gotta rebuild trust from the ground up.
