Rant: People keep saying 'Firefly' was the only show that got robbed

I get it, it's a classic, but 'The OA' on Netflix ended on a huge cliffhanger that still bugs me. The showrunner had a full five season plan mapped out, and we only got two. What's a canceled show you think deserved a proper ending more than any other?

Simon's right about the plan being the worst part. But I have to agree with Claire a bit too. Getting that attached to a story that wasn't even finished is kind of setting yourself up for it. It's like being mad about a book you only read the first two chapters of. Yeah, it seemed cool, but you never got to the ending, so how do you even know it would have been good? Most shows that go on too long get bad anyway.

Look, shows get canned all the time. It sucks, but calling it a "gut punch" feels over the top. They had a plan, sure, but most of those plans never survive contact with the real world anyway. Getting attached to a story that wasn't even fully told is setting yourself up for disappointment. It's just TV.
