Question about reviving Freaks and Geeks after all these years

I just hit 100 signatures on my online petition to bring back Freaks and Geeks for a limited season on Netflix. I know it's a long shot since it ended in 2000 but the cast is still around and active. Has anyone else tried something like this for a show that old? What platforms actually pay attention to fan campaigns?

Wait, did you check if Netflix even owns the streaming rights anymore?

@king.andrew actually brings up a good point that I didn't even think about. I just assumed Netflix still had it because the show used to be everywhere on there. But now I'm wondering if maybe the rights got split up regionally or something. A buddy of mine in Canada says it's still up on their Netflix over there, so maybe it's a US thing where they lost it.

Hate to break it to you but yeah I checked and Netflix definitely doesn't have the rights anymore. They lost them like a year ago when they did that whole content purge thing. It's actually really frustrating because I was halfway through season 3 when they pulled it. I can't find it on any other streaming service either so I'm just stuck waiting for it to come back somewhere.
