My buddy told me to give up on 'The OA' and I'm glad I didn't listen
Everyone in our watch group was ready to move on after Netflix axed 'The OA'... said it was too weird and the ending was a mess. My friend Mike specifically told me, 'Just drop it, they'll never finish it and you'll just be mad.' But I kept pushing for people to sign those online petitions and talk about it online. Last year, when that rumor swirled about a possible movie wrap-up from the creators, it felt like a small win, like the noise actually did something. It didn't get a full new season, but it proved a dedicated fanbase can keep a story alive. Mike still thinks it's a waste of energy, but seeing that spark of hope was worth the few minutes I spent posting. What's a show you kept fighting for that everyone else told you was done?

Stubbornness as a full time job" is a great way to put it. I spent months trying to get my book club to read a weird novel they all hated from page one.

My book club read "House of Leaves" last year and half the group still talks about it. Sometimes pushing through the weird stuff pays off, you know?
