My buddy in Cleveland made me reconsider Santa Clarita Diet
I used to think the show was just silly gore for shock value, but my friend Dave from Cleveland pointed out how the food metaphors actually mirror how we hide our true selves at work. He said the cannibalism thing is basically a stand-in for burnout, which hit different after my 60-hour weeks at the call center. Now I think it deserves a third season more than any other canceled show, even if the finale was a cliffhanger. Anyone else see it that way, or am I just reading too deep into a zombie comedy?
