My brother said 'Firefly' fans need to let it go and I got heated

We were watching a new space show and he said the old one was overrated and its time is past. That hit different because the cast still wants to do it and the story wasn't finished. Why can't a show with that much love get one proper final season to wrap things up?

Four people saying they'd make another season doesn't mean the studio's actually gonna pay for it. Feels like we've been burned by "talks" before.
