I dropped $40 on a Firefly fan campaign and it felt like lighting money on fire
I saw a post about a new push to get Firefly back, so I bought into a crowdfund for billboards near a studio. That was six months ago and all we got was one tiny sign for a week. The whole thing made me wonder if these fan efforts ever actually work or if they just take our cash. Has anyone seen a canceled show get saved by something like this?

Man, that's rough. Those campaigns always seem like a long shot. @the_james is right about the Chuck thing, but that was a different time with network TV. Now it feels like studios just let fans spend money to prove there's interest, then ignore it. I saw a group raise cash for more Dark Matter billboards last year and nothing changed. It's starting to feel like paying for hope more than actual results.

Heard a buddy dropped cash on a Firefly campaign that went nowhere.

Remember when fans sent tons of nuts to save Chuck? That actually kinda worked for a bit.
