I chose to bring back 'Freaks and Geeks' over 'Arrested Development' and it still hurts

I know everyone loves Arrested Development but Freaks and Geeks only got one season and had so much more story to tell. I picked it for a revival petition I started last year and only got 53 signatures. Has anyone else had to choose between two shows and picked the wrong one?

Totally agree, passed on a great local indie band for a famous one and regretted it.

Isn't it funny how we always seem to overlook the underdog in favor of the flashy option? I've noticed this same thing plays out in real life too, like when people pass up a quiet, dependable friend for the loud funny one at parties. We just naturally gravitate toward what's already popular, even when the quieter choice had way more potential.

Oh man that hits so hard! I went to see some huge headliner act last summer and paid way too much for a nosebleed seat, then found out later a local band I'd been sleeping on was playing at this tiny dive bar for like ten bucks the same night and had an absolutely killer set. I literally did that thing you're talking about where I ignored the quiet friend for years because they were shy, and then one day we actually hung out and they turned out to be the most interesting person with the best stories. Its like our brains are wired to think popular equals good even when the evidence is right in front of us. Ive started making a real effort to check out the smaller acts at festivals and give the quiet people at work a proper chance, and honestly Ive found way more gems that way. Why do we keep chasing the shiny thing when the real gold is usually hiding in plain sight?
