Hot take: bringing back Firefly would just ruin what made it special
I keep seeing people beg for a Firefly revival, but the fans who want it are probably the ones who'd hate it the most because the original magic came from a specific time and cast chemistry that can't be recreated 20 years later. Which side are you on - let it stay a perfect one-season gem, or risk a reboot that could flop hard?

18 episodes. That's all we got. It had a beginning, a middle, and an end, even if they crammed the ending into a movie. Trying to bring it back now would feel like putting old jeans on a new body. The actors have aged, the writers have moved on, and the whole vibe of TV has changed. Let it be a perfect little thing that ended too soon instead of a zombie that gets dragged back for a cash grab.

My uncle had a band that broke up after their bassist got married and moved to Nebraska. They left behind one perfect demo tape that everyone in the family still talks about thirty years later. Last year somebody found a box of old practice recordings and tried to get them to do a reunion show. The drummer couldn't even hold the sticks the same way anymore because of his arthritis, and the singer had become a real estate agent. Some things just hit their peak and that's where they should stay, you know?
