Appreciation post: Finally got around to watching "Terriers" from 2010

I kept hearing people say this show was something special, but it only got one season on FX before getting the axe. Took me like 3 years just to start it because I figured "how good could it be if it got canned that fast?" Well I finally binged it last weekend and wow, I was wrong. It's got this perfect mix of detective work and real friendship between the two leads. Now I'm mad all over again that it ended on a cliffhanger. Is there any other one-season wonder that actually wraps up better than this one did?

That "perfect mix" always felt like a discount version of The Rockford Files to me.

Respectfully gotta disagree. Rockford was great but this show had its own thing going on. The mix here felt tighter and more focused on the case of the week. Rockford meandered a lot more, which was fun but different.
