I read a detailed callout of a small clothing brand I liked (they used a factory with shaky labor reports in Bangladesh) and instead of ignoring it like usual, I dug into their sourcing docs... turns out the poster had receipts and I canceled my $75 order. Has anyone else actually changed a brand loyalty after a deep dive like that?

Honestly yeah that exact thing happened to me with a coffee brand I was obsessed with. Saw a thread about how their "fair trade" label was basically a lie and they were paying farmers pennies compared to what they claimed. Spent two hours going through their annual reports and found the receipts myself, it was so frustrating because I really loved their beans. Ngl I felt stupid for not checking earlier, but now I only buy from brands with full transparency on their sourcing. Tbh that thread changed how I look at every company now, not just that one.
