My sister changed my mind about that comedian who got dropped from the festival

We were arguing about it over pizza last Friday, and she said, 'The point isn't if you can still find his specials online, it's that the festival decided his brand of humor wasn't worth the risk anymore.' That made me see it less as a punishment and more like a business choice. Does a platform choosing not to book someone always equal 'cancellation'?

Remember when Target stopped selling CDs, that was just a business choice too.

My brother said the same thing about a band last year.

Yeah, "wasn't worth the risk" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. When does a business choice become a moral choice, or is that just a distinction without a difference for the person who loses the gig?
