Changed my mind about supporting that influencer apology video

I spent $50 on a course from a YouTuber who later got cancelled for faking testimonials, and at first I defended them. But then I found 3 other buyers who shared screenshots of the same fake reviews, and it clicked that I was wrong. Has anyone else had a buying decision flip after seeing hard proof?

Wait, you actually thought that apology video was real at first?

That part about "it clicked that I was wrong" is exactly what happened to me with a landscaping tool I bought after watching a review channel. I saw the exact same "broken after 3 months" comment copied and pasted on three different videos, which made me realize the guy was just deleting negative reviews. Hard to ignore when you see the same text word for word across different platforms.

The "broken after 3 months" thing is wild when you start seeing it everywhere. That's the kind of detail that can't be faked, you know? Once you notice one copy-paste job, you start seeing it all over the place. It makes you realize how many reviewers are just curating a perfect image instead of being honest. I've started checking comments across multiple videos now, just to see if the same complaints pop up word for word. It's like a little red flag that tells you someone's been scrubbing their reputation. Once you see that pattern, it's hard to trust anything they say after.
