TIL my $85 'waterproof' tent from a big box store in Boise leaked on night one
Bought a Coleman Sundome 2 for $85 at the store off Franklin Road in Boise and the seams leaked within 20 minutes of light rain on the first trip. I spent another $12 on seam sealer and it still dripped on my sleeping bag by morning. For that same $97 I could've gotten a used REI tent that actually holds up, has anyone else had a cheap tent fail this fast or did I just get a bad one?

Coleman Sundomes have taped seams, so sealing them yourself just makes a mess.
