That time my camp stove regulator froze up at 9,000 feet

Went camping near Rocky Mountain National Park last October and my trusty propane stove just wouldn't hold a flame above a flicker. Turns out the regulator had ice building up inside from moisture in the tank, which I never even knew was a thing. Had to boil water on a tiny wood fire I built with wet twigs, which took forever. Anyone else dealt with a frozen regulator on a cold trip?

Funny how things always break at the worst possible moment.

Wait, moisture in the tank can actually freeze up the regulator like that?
