Sleeping pad valve ripped off at 2am in Shenandoah
Was inflating my Therm-a-Rest in the dark and the plastic valve just snapped clean off, so I spent the night on pine needles with a half-flat pad shivering.

@lee72 same here, always thought they were bombproof till this.

That valve snapping clean off at 2am in Shenandoah is brutal, I can't even imagine that. In my experience, those Therm-a-Rest valves are usually pretty solid, but I guess the cold and dark can make anything brittle. Hope the pine needles were at least soft enough to get a couple hours in.
