Seeing more portable pizza ovens in campgrounds this year

They're fun for cooking, but I'm not sure if the extra weight is worth it. My buddy's took forever to heat up last trip.

I used to totally agree about the weight not being worth it. Then my cousin brought one on our group trip last month, the kind that uses those small propane bottles. That thing got screaming hot in like ten minutes. We made pizzas with premade dough, and the crust bubbled up like a proper wood-fired pie. Completely changed my view on bringing one.

Yeah the "screaming hot in ten minutes" part is a game changer. Maybe the weight is worth it after all.
