Rant: My $180 tent leaked at Lake Tahoe because I trusted the reviews
I picked up a 3 person tent from REI last month based on all the glowing reviews that said it stayed bone dry in heavy rain, so I took it to Lake Tahoe over a weekend where we got about 2 inches of rain. Woke up at 3am with water pooling around my sleeping pad, and when I checked the seams later I could see the factory tape job was peeling off in like 4 spots. Did I just get a bad one off the line, or are these reviews just straight up fake?
