Rain hit my tent at 2am near Bend, and my $180 sleeping bag was the only thing that stayed dry
Spent 3 nights at a campground outside Bend and the rain came in sideways on night two, soaking everything except the one bag I almost returned, so now I want to know if anyone else has a piece of gear that only proved itself in the worst weather.

Wait, sideways rain and EVERYTHING got soaked except the one bag you almost returned? That is wild. I feel like the stuff we doubt the most ends up being the hero somehow. So what bag was it, because clearly it earned its keep that night. Three nights out there and night two decides to go full storm mode, that is just rude.
