I finally figured out why my sleeping bag felt cold after 3 years
I used to just stuff my sleeping bag into its sack after every trip. Last weekend I was packing up at Yosemite and a guy in the next site asked if I ever let it air out before storing it. I said no, and he showed me how the down was all clumped up inside. Turns out compression kills the loft over time. Has anyone else had their bag suddenly stop insulating right?

Wait, you never aired it out even once in three years?

Are you kidding me, three years without airing it out? That's like a whole different level of dedication or maybe just pure laziness on my part. I mean, I once left a pair of running shoes in my trunk for like a month and my car smelled like a locker room mixed with regret. Idk, maybe I'm just bad at adulting but I swear I'd forget to air out my own brain if it wasn't attached.

Learned that lesson the hard way after a gym bag spent a summer in my trunk.
