Found a simple hack for drying wet tent footprints on the trail
I was on a 4 day trip in the Adirondacks last fall and my tent footprint got soaked from morning dew every single day. I started hanging it under my rainfly between the fly and the tent body using those little clip hooks from a dollar store, and it dried completely in about 20 minutes each morning. Has anyone else tried a weird drying trick that actually saved you time packing up camp?

Most footprints are waterproof, so hanging them to dry is just for dew on top not trapped moisture inside.

Lol I just hang mine hoping the extra water hides my ugly steps.

My buddy tried hanging his boots with a towel wrapped around them once. He thought it would help dry them faster after a really wet hike in the Smokies. Woke up the next morning and the towel had somehow molded onto the inside of the boot. Took him like an hour with vinegar and a scrub brush to get it off. He still tells people that story when they bring up drying gear. Just one of those things you learn the hard way, I guess.
