Counted my tent stakes yesterday and hit 47

I was sorting out my gear bin last night and decided to actually count all my tent stakes. Ended up with 47 of them, which is way more than I ever thought I owned. Most are the basic aluminum ones that came with various tents, but I have 8 of those heavy duty Y-stakes for windy spots. It got me thinking how many times I've bought a new set because I couldn't find the old ones in a hurry. Has anyone else realized they have a ridiculous pile of stakes hiding in bags and pockets?
