Blew $130 on a '4 season' tent from a big box sale and it leaked on night one in the Cascades
I grabbed this tent because the box said 4 season and it was marked down from $260 to $130, and I figured that was a steal. First trip out near Lake Wenatchee in October, rain hit around 2am and water came straight through the fly and pooled by my feet. I woke up in a puddle, drove home at 5am, and the return window had closed by nine days. Now I read every seam and pole spec before I buy anything, no matter how good the sale tag looks. Anyone got a rainfly brand they actually trust for a cheap dome tent, or am I just supposed to eat the $130 and buy real gear?
