That Yashica-Mat I fixed last month just died again on a client

Shutter freeze mid-roll, right in the middle of a wedding shoot. Who else has had a repair fail after a few weeks and had to eat the cost?

Honestly, that's rough and I feel for you. But here's the thing nobody's mentioning - maybe the problem isn't the repair itself but the camera's age and how hard it's being pushed. A Yashica-Mat from the 60s wasn't exactly built for a full wedding shoot in modern conditions. Those old leaf shutters just weren't designed for that kind of consistent, fast-paced use over and over. So even if your repair was solid, the rest of the camera might be wearing out in ways you can't spot. It's like patching a hole in a hose while the rubber around it is cracking.

Yeah @lindab49 nailed it. Same thing happened to me with an old Rolleicord. Spent two weeks on a shutter rebuild, next job it locked up on frame 12. Those old leaf shutters just can't handle the pace of modern event work no matter how careful you are.
