Shoutout to plastic bread clips for spring tension
I found they hold small springs perfectly during camera reassembly. No more flying parts across the shop!

Exactly what @adams.joel said. I have like five of those cables in a drawer somewhere doing nothing.

That drawer of useless cables is a universal truth. Mine's a mess of old phone chargers for models that don't exist anymore. Pretty sure there's a proprietary cable for a camera I threw out three years ago. It's just a graveyard for plastic and copper wire at this point.
