I finally stopped stripping wires with my teeth like a barbarian

Used to do it for years until I nicked a live wire on a Rolleiflex flash circuit and got zapped good. Now I just use a proper Klein stripper, has anyone else had a wake-up call like that on a simple habit?

And then there's the opposite problem right? I got so used to using proper strippers that I forgot how to judge insulation thickness by feel alone. Last week I was working on some vintage audio gear and had to strip these tiny kynar wires on a Tektronix scope board and my Klein was too big for the job. Ended up using my fingernails like some sort of caveman anyway. The old habits never really leave you, they just wait for the right moment to come back and bite you in the... well, hopefully not literally bite you again.
