Dropped $75 on a "professional" sensor cleaning kit and made my mirrorless worse
Last month I grabbed one of those $75 sensor cleaning kits online because my A7 had a dust spot that showed up at f/11. The swabs were too big for the sensor and left streaks everywhere, plus the blower they sent was weaker than my $8 rocket blower from the local shop. I ended up taking it to a guy in Denver who charged me $40 and had it spotless in ten minutes. Turns out the real fix was just a proper wet clean with the right size swab, not the fancy kit with the UV light and magnifier. Anyone else get burned by one of those all in one cleaning bundles?
