Used to hand-write all my cafe menus every week. What a mess.

Three years back I'd sit down every Sunday with a stack of index cards and markers. My handwriting is terrible. Customers would ask what a drink was because they couldn't read it. Then I'd spill coffee on half the cards before Monday even started. Switched to a whiteboard menu system around 2021. Now I just type up changes on my laptop and print them out clean. Saves me about 4 hours a week and nobody squints at the board anymore. Has anyone else found a better menu setup that's still easy to update daily?

Wait, you were handwriting index cards every week? Lol that sounds like a nightmare.

Doesn't that digital menu take away all the personality and charm of a handwritten cafe though? I actually go out of my way to find spots with chalkboard menus that look a little messy and homemade because it feels more authentic. A printed menu makes the place feel like a chain restaurant instead of a local shop with character.
