The espresso machine that started singing at 6 AM last Tuesday

I was doing the morning prep at my shop on La Brea and the PID display started cycling through temperature numbers like it was trying to communicate, so I called the repair guy and he said it's probably a loose thermocouple, but now I'm wondering if anyone else's equipment has ever just randomly glitched out like that during rush?

Honestly used to think those things only glitch out in movies, but our POS system once started printing receipts with the wrong time and date during a Friday rush and it made zero sense. Now I kinda get it, machines just have their own weird moods and you gotta roll with it until they sort themselves out.
