That one Wednesday where I had 47 customers before noon and thought I broke the coffee machine
Was running solo on a random Wednesday last month. Figured it'd be slow like usual. But then a bus tour group just showed up unannounced. Then the office crowd came in for their mid-morning fix. By 11:30 I had a line out the door and my espresso machine was steaming like crazy. Thought the boiler was gonna blow. Ended up doing $890 in sales by 1pm. Never seen that before on a Wednesday. Has anyone else had a random day that just exploded for no good reason?

47 customers before noon isn't that wild. Had 62 before 10am on a random Tuesday last spring. No bus tours, no events. Just a weird perfect storm of regulars and new faces. Machine broke at 11:30. Had to hand-pour drip coffee for an hour while it cooled down. Still pulled in $1,100 by lunch. Your numbers aren't wrong, just saying Wednesday wasn't the craziest one.

Hand-poured drip for an hour" - man, your forearm must've been screaming by the end of that.

Ryan's right about the forearm thing... I bet you were making those little wrist circles the next morning like you just got done with a bad gym session. Hand-pouring drip for a whole hour sounds like a great way to remember why we invented automatic machines in the first place. 1,100 bucks by lunch though... that's a good problem to have, even if your arm had other ideas. Bet that coffee tasted extra earned that day though, no shortcuts.
