Tbh, switching from a $15 bag of beans to a local roaster changed my shop in 2 months.

My old shop used Lavazza for years, and it was just okay. The moment I switched to a local roaster in Asheville, regulars started noticing the difference within a week. It wasn't just about taste, it was about having a story to tell. People like knowing where their coffee comes from and who roasted it. That local connection built way more loyalty than any cheap bag ever did. It's the single best change I ever made for my business.

Honestly, our regulars stuck around more after we switched to local beans too.

You're right about the loyalty, @angelar57, but I'd say the story matters more than just being local... some local roasters aren't that great either.
