Serious question, how do you handle the milk delivery guy now?

I used to just take whatever they dropped off and pay the invoice later. That changed after three months of getting shorted on oat milk and overcharged for whole. Now I stand there with the invoice and count every single carton before I sign. It started last fall when I caught a $200 overcharge on one delivery. Anyone else have to do this now just to keep things straight?

Remember when you could just trust the little honor system box for farm eggs? I found out my neighbor was taking my paid-for dozen every week for a MONTH. Now I have a locked cooler with a combo and it feels kinda sad to go that far.

Doesn't it feel like you have to double-check everything these days, from grocery receipts to utility bills?

Why would you stand there counting oat milk cartons like a warehouse foreman over a few bucks? Honestly sounds like you're making problems where there don't need to be any. I've had the same milk guy for years and he's never shorted me once, probably because I treat him like a person instead of a suspect. You catch one bad driver or one billing glitch and suddenly you're auditing every delivery like it's a crime scene. Maybe try talking to the company first before turning your porch into a checkpoint.
