Ugh that's so awkward but honestly good for them for saying something! I had a friend who used to run a little coffee pop-up in Echo Park and she did the same thing. She was charging like 8 bucks for a pour-over and one of her regulars finally told her straight up that it was too much. She was really defensive at first but then she actually looked at her costs and realized she was basically just guessing. She dropped the price to 6 and ended up selling way more cups throughout the day. Sometimes you just need someone to call you out before you see it yourself.
