Put in a $1200 commercial dishwasher and it paid for itself in 3 months
I was hand washing everything for 2 years and finally broke down and bought a used Hobart. Has anyone else found a piece of equipment that actually SAVED them money instead of just costing more?

That "best $400 they ever wasted" line is cute but I see it differently. A pizza oven in your garage is a hobby that makes a little cash, not a real business investment. Hand washing dishes for 2 years cost that guy way more in wasted time and water bills than the dishwasher did. A used Hobart is a workhorse that pays you back in labor savings every single day. Garage pizza ovens are fun side gigs, commercial dishwashers are actual time machines.

You ever known someone who bought a used pizza oven from a closing restaurant? My buddy Sal did that, paid $400 for an old Bakers Pride and hauled it to his backyard. He started doing these weekend pizza popups for neighbors, just word of mouth. Within two months he had paid off the oven and made an extra grand on top. The thing is huge and ugly and takes up half his garage, but it makes a mean pie. Now his wife jokes it's the best $400 they ever wasted, if you can call making money back a waste.
