Dropped $300 on a fancy espresso machine repair that didn't even fix the steam wand issue

Had a La Marzocco Linea Mini that kept losing steam pressure mid-service last Thursday. Called a certified tech in LA who charged me $300 just to swap a gasket and said it was good to go. Next morning same problem happened during rush and I had to pull out my old backup machine. Anyone else deal with a repair that made things worse instead of better?

$300 just to swap a gasket" man that hurts to read. I had a similar thing with my old car last year, paid a guy to fix a weird noise and it came back two days later louder than before. Sometimes you just end up paying for someone's guesswork.
