A regular at my place in Austin said they'd stopped coming in because our wifi was too slow for work calls.

They told me, 'I love the coffee, but I lost a client on a Zoom here last Tuesday.' It made me check our speed, and it was only 15 Mbps for the whole cafe. Anyone else had to upgrade their internet recently?

My neighbor's kid had to use our wifi for school because theirs was just as bad.

Upgrade that connection now. Saw @claire_walker's point about schoolwork, and it's the same for business. People need to trust your wifi. 15 Mbps for a whole cafe is like trying to fill a swimming pool with a garden hose. You'll keep losing customers over dropped calls and frozen screens. Good internet is just part of the rent now, like having chairs.

People act like the world ends if a video buffers for ten seconds. It's a coffee shop, not a data center. Most folks are just checking email or social media anyway. The whole "you'll lose customers" thing feels overblown. Sure, it's nice to have, but comparing it to chairs is a stretch. A lot of places get by just fine on basic connections.
