Tried running cable through a ceiling without a glow rod and honestly it saved me like 30 minutes

I used a wire coat hanger and electrical tape to pull a coax through a drop ceiling in a church basement near Philly and it worked way better than digging out my actual glow rod - has anyone else found a random household item that does the job just as well?

Used a bent fork once to fish speaker wire through a wall in my old house.

Heard a pro once used a metal coat hanger the same way.
