That week in Phoenix where every attic was a nightmare

Three attics in five days, all over 110 degrees outside. Second house had a raccoon nest right where I needed to run the line. Third one the homeowner had stored holiday decorations directly on top of the drop ceiling tiles. I nearly fell through. But the worst was Thursday - a McMansion where the builder stapled the cable so tight I had to cut and resplice three times. Ended up working until 8pm just to get one room done. My foreman just said 'welcome to the valley.' Anyone else ever deal with a house that seems designed to fight you at every turn?

Buddy of mine found a family of possums living in his boss's wall... took three days to clear it out.

Man that raccoon nest situation hits close to home. Had one burrow into an attic I was working in last summer and it chewed through three lines before I even knew it was there. The holiday decorations thing is wild though, I've seen people stack boxes on ceiling tiles before but never actual decor. Your foreman's reaction says it all, that valley heat makes everything ten times harder, especially when you're sweating through your shirt before 9am.

Holiday decorations on drop ceiling tiles? Man, that's just asking for trouble.
