That one crawl space from hell finally beat me, then I beat it
Spent 3 days in a wet crawl space off Highway 99 chasing a ground loop that only showed up when the AC kicked on, turned out to be a corroded bond strap under 4 inches of mud. Has anyone else had a fault that only appears under load and takes forever to track down?

Damn, that sounds like a nightmare. Three days in the mud just to find a strap you can't even see without digging. I had something similar in a restaurant kitchen, a plug that only tripped the breaker when the fryer kicked on and it took me two visits to figure out it was a bad neutral in the junction box behind the wall. That gremlin only showed up for like five minutes at a time and then everything tested fine. I ended up clamping a meter on it and waiting there for an hour until it finally acted up again. Crawl spaces are the worst, I feel your pain on that one.
