PSA: zip tie your drop wire every 18 inches after what I saw on a job in Tulsa
Was running a second story drop off a pole in Tulsa last spring when a gust hit and the whole line started slapping the siding. Turns out the guy before me had tied it every 4 feet, so the wind had 3 feet of slack to snap it against the house until the jacket wore through and killed the signal. I learned my lesson and now I go every 18 inches, no exceptions. What spacing are you all using on long drops in windy areas?
