Overheard a rookie bragging about never labeling cables and it gave me anxiety
Was at a supply house in Phoenix last Tuesday and this kid was telling his buddy he just runs the same color cable everywhere and "figures it out later." I get wanting to move fast but I spent two hours on a redo last month because someone pulled 20 runs of white coax with zero markings. You guys label on site or do it in the shop before heading out?

Labeling in the shop saves headaches but it's still asking for trouble if you don't mark them at both ends before you pull. You can't always trust the color to land in the right spot after it's been dragged through a ceiling.

40 foot pulls twist like crazy, so I always tape a second label near the connector end.

Label both ends on the ground before you pull, then wrap a flag label right at the connector after termination. I do a color coded system with different colored ties for different floors or zones so even if a tag falls off I still have a backup visual clue. Saves so much backtracking when you're up on a ladder later and have to find which cable goes where.
