Overheard a homeowner say cable installers are overpaid...

I was at a coffee shop off I-70 in Denver last Tuesday and this guy at the next table was complaining to his friend about the $200 service fee he got charged. Said we just "plug stuff in" and it's not worth it. I wanted to say something but didn't. Made me think though... most people have no clue what goes into a rough day. Anyone else run into that kind of attitude on the job?

Used to be one of those people who thought cable guys had it easy, but then my internet went out during a blizzard and I watched the tech dig through ice and mud for an hour to fix the line. Really changed how I see the job.

Oh man, that's rough. Huge respect for those guys working in nasty weather like that.
