Found a neat trick for running coax through finished walls without patching a ton of holes

Last Tuesday I used a glow rod and a piece of string to snake coax behind the baseboard in a finished basement in under 15 minutes, has anyone tried that method for avoiding drywall repairs?

Baseboard trick works great, saved my ass on a rental remodel.

Honestly, my buddy runs a flooring crew and he says the same thing about cutting baseboard corners with a miter saw at 45 degrees. It's one of those small details that separates a job that looks professional from something a landlord slapped together. I've noticed that in most trades, people skip the 15 minute steps that make the final result hold up for years. A little extra care on the trim work just makes everything else look cleaner, even if it's cheap material.
